An effective estate plan combines a client's current situation with their goals regarding their family, business and other important elements in their lives. In order to address these needs, I create a number of documents including:

- Estate Distribution Plan(s)
The plan elements are intended to work with the client's assets and liabilities such as investments, retirement plans, educational plans and Special Needs distribution planning to achieve success as defined by the client. |

Probate is simply the process of submitting a deceased person's Will to the appropriate Court for review and supervision while the Executor distributes the decedant's property to the beneficiaries named in the Will. The Court's involvement can be beneficial, especially where beneficiaries disagree or the nature of the property distributions are in questino. However, Probate also
- Takes Longer to Distribute an Estate (usually)
- Costs More
- Creates a Public Record
- Can Subject Assets to Recovery by Medi-Cal
However, a number of these concerns can be avoided by appropriate planning. |
